The VD500 OBD2 scanner is a professional diagnostic tool designed specifically for most 12V 16-Pin Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, and SEAT (VAG group) vehicles. It also supports OBD II-compliant cars and light trucks (non-electric) manufactured in 1996 or later, covering 16-Pin OBD II protocols such as J1850 VPM, J1850 PWM, ISO 9141, KWP 2000, and CAN.
Unlike basic OBD II scanners, the VD500 offers advanced functions for VAG vehicles including reading/erasing codes in the engine, ABS, transmission, SAS, ESP, and TPMS systems, as well as performing oil reset, brake pad reset, and throttle position adaptation.
For other OBD II vehicles, the VD500 supports essential functions such as reading/clearing codes, displaying error code definitions, turning off the MIL (check engine light), and retrieving VIN information.
