The VD500 is designed for most 12V 16-Pin Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, and SEAT vehicles. It also supports OBD II-compliant cars and light trucks (non-electric) manufactured in 1996 or later, covering protocols including J1850 VPW, J1850 PWM, ISO 9141, KWP2000, and CAN.

Unlike basic OBD II scanners, VD500 offers advanced VAG functions including reading/erasing codes across multiple control systems, plus service functions such as oil reset, brake pad reset, and throttle position adaptation.
