FAQ

Q: What's the main difference between NanoCoat and CarnaubaMist?

A: Both solutions have been developed for the quick application of a glossy hydrophobic layer. The difference is that CarnaubaMist is a wax based formula that is designed to provide 6-8 weeks of protection while NanoCoat is a nano sealant that can provide up to 3 months of protection.

Unlike CarnaubaMist, NanoCoat can be applied to all exterior surfaces including windscreens, whereas CarnaubaMist cannot.

Lastly CarnaubaMist can be used on Matt and wrapped finishes where as NanoCoat is not suitable for these surfaces.

Q: Is NanoCoat a ceramic coating?

A: No. NanoCoat is a spray sealant, not a ceramic coating. However, it shares similar benefits like hydrophobicity, gloss enhancement and surface slickness, without the complex application or curing time.

Q: What's the difference between NanoCoat and AquaVeil?

A: NanoCoat is a spray sealant, not a ceramic coating while AquaVeil is a ceramic coating. However, both share similar benefits like hydrophobicity, gloss enhancement and surface slickness, without the complex application or curing time.

The main difference between the two is that NanoCoat can be applied to all surfaces such as paintwork, glass, alloys and plastics making it a comprehensive solution for hydrophobicity on your vehicle.

AquaVeil on the other hand is specifically for paintwork application and consequently has a stronger chemical bond to the surface with more resistance to chemicals and UV. This also gives it a slightly harder glass-like finish.

Q: How long should I wait before washing my vehicle again after applying NanoCoat?

A: Allow at least 12–24 hours before washing to let the sealant fully bond. Avoid using strong detergents immediately after application.

Q: Can I use NanoCoat as a topper over wax or ceramic coatings?

A: Yes, it works excellently as a top-up layer, reviving gloss and slickness on previously waxed or ceramic-coated vehicles. It's also perfect as a maintenance sealant between major detailing steps.
