For non-VAG vehicles with a 16-pin OBD port (sold in the U.S. after 1996), it can only diagnose the engine system and OBD II's six standard modes.

Special Functions for VAG Vehicles
The VD700 supports basic settings, adaptations, and access authorization for VAG cars. This includes functions such as:
- Throttle Position Adaptation: Clears trouble codes and resets the throttle position sensor (TPS), resolving issues like stalling, misfiring, or poor engine performance.
- Brake Pad Reset: Resets the brake system after pad replacement.
- TPMS Reset: Clears codes and turns off the TPMS warning light after tire replacement.
- DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) Regeneration: Forces DPF regeneration to resolve common DPF-related issues like short trips, clogged EGR valves, and faulty fuel injectors.
- Injector Coding: Writes new injector codes to the ECU after injector replacement, ensuring optimal engine performance.
- Steering Angle Sensor Calibration: Reads and calibrates the steering angle sensor, then clears any fault codes.
